The new comfort recliner from Stokke

This is one sitting solution that is really unusual and designed to completely satisfy our innate need for movement and variation. Along with a footrest, half-open backcushion and height adjustable neck support; Peel's™ comfort is obvious. It's also been specifically designed to enable you to recline without slipping forwards or back-wards, whatever your size. Simply by gently altering your body weight through different sitting positions allows complete freedom of move-ment. Peel comes in a variety ofcolours, fabric or hide, and you can choose from a range of different colours for the circular base.

Stokke Peel™

The essential concept of this new chair is the shape and function of an orange peel. When designer Olav Eldøy first presented his idea to us – he just placed an orange peel on the table in front of us. And said nothing.

Peel is based upon a balance principle and specially designed for relaxation. With just a simple shift of your body weight, you can move into the next position – quite effortlessly!

• Free rotation and three distinct positions for sitting and resting
• A new double spring system gives smooth shifting between positions for perfect rest.
• Individual adjustment according to weight.
• Peel has a fixed angle between seat and backrest - allows breathing and blood circulation to remain unrestricted.
• A tall footrest lets the blood flow freely
• The footrest can be delivered with a "loop" to give extra support for the feet.
• Peel II is the mirrored version of Peel
